10 days old

I've learned to nurse one handed, no hands even at times like now. (Thank you, My Brest Friend pillow.)  So I thought I would pot a little update here. Tuesday we had a little amateur baby photo shoot here at home copying looks from other websites.

Here are the results
Getting the shot and pose isn't the easiest thing. Good thing I had 2 assistants to hold the baby up and push on the bean bag, pull the blanket tight, etc.
There are some other angles I wanted but since we were in a corner and I didn't think to twist the beanbag (to avoid the corner seam in the pic) we will have to try again another time.

See sweet pictures help me survive through less-than-ideal
Night feelings. And the real deal is pretty cute too. I am still very emotional (translation: any harsh comment, teasing, criticism, etc could cause outburst at any time, especially if I am hungry.) just being realistic...it feels like the emotional toll of new balance at home is sometimes harder than physical lack of sleep. Although i could go for some sleep right now...

Girl, you're doing an amazing job! Be patient with yourself, those post natal/nursing hormones are no joke. I promise you, it will even out. He's perfect.

I just caught up on your blog. OH MY GOLLY...girl, your birth story is cuh-razy. So similar to mine...HA! NOT! Good job for popping that little booger out au naturale. :) Stud mama. Congrats on him. He's so dang cute. And that pic of your "picture helpers" is funny.

I do think you've made the cutest baby ever. There's going to be no topping that one. Of course it's no wonder since I did such an awesome job changing Zach's diapers all those years ago. I'm pretty sure that has something to do with it. Right? Right?...

Oh and I just read the bottom paragraph. I.feel.you x 10. I promise it gets better. I think the 2 week mark was when it subsided for me. Also, getting out on my own helped a lot. I think I left Jack with Jason after only a couple of days. It took me forever to walk up to the coffee shop because of my "birthing injuries" haha but it did a wonder. Made me feel like me. Anyways, pretty soon the new becomes the norm...and more sleep does wonders. I swear it makes you totally irrational to be so sleep deprived. Ok. I'm done now. :)
